EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR GRANTS WRITER/ ADMINISTRATOR DIRECTOR OF LEASED HOUSING/ SECTION 8 MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, performs a variety of responsible administrative duties in implementing the agency’s programs and services; including responsibility for supervising staff as assigned by the Executive Director. This is a cabinet level position that includes responsibility for policy and strategy recommendations to further and support operations of the executive office. This highly responsible position requires demonstrated experience in business leadership skills; exceptional communication skills and strong ability to review, monitor, and track various operational formats. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Business/Public Administration, or closely related field and minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, operations, and management experience. Minimum of three (3) years experience in management of HUD public housing programs required, including some experience with public housing, Section 8 and assisted housing finance. Experience in management of mixed finance housing operations preferred. Advanced degree preferred. Possession of a valid Alabama driver’s license and safe driving record. POST UNTIL FILLED GRANTS WRITER/ ADMINISTRATOR Salary: $63,723.87 - $66,949.89 Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for identifying funding sources, preparing grant applications in compliance with regulatory guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or other grantor agencies/entities as appropriate. The position manages and coordinates the administration of specifically funded projects. This position is responsible for seeking out grants that will enhance the well-being and advancement of assisted housing programs and the resident population of the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District. In consultation with the Executive Director, this position is responsible for identifying and applying for grants and funding sources, gathering documentation, coordination of various grants, writing and submitting proposals and providing for administration of various grants according to appropriate regulatory or other guidelines. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management or closely related field is required. Must have at least five (5) years experience in grant writing and grant administration, with demonstrated successful results in award of grant funding and successful grant implementation and closeout. Possession of a valid Alabama driver’s license and safe driving record. DIRECTOR OF LEASED HOUSING AND SECTION 8 Responsible to the Executive Director for the administration of Section 8 Housing Programs including, Voucher, Moderate Rehabilitation and contract administration of the Substantial Rehabilitation and the New Construction Programs. Coordinates with other related departments as necessary. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration or acceptable field. Must have six to nine (6-9) years experience in Section 8 Program Management. Possession of a valid Alabama driver’s license and safe driving record. Salary Range: $21.68 Hourly Inspects vacant units for needed repairs. Coordinates repairs with Property Manager or designee. Performs major and minor repairs not requiring licenses including, but not limited to: carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor plastering, HVAC, electrical, masonry, cleaning, installations, etc. High School graduate or GED. Minimum of three (3) years verifiable experience in housing maintenance or related field. Possession of a valid Alabama driver’s license and safe driving record.
