The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District is now offering educational and training scholarships for HABD public housing residents and Section Eight participants. (All HABD residents are also qualified Section 3 participants)
The scholarships are being made available through the HABD Section 3 compliance fund. The purpose of the Section 3 Education and Training Scholarship Fund is to provide periodic and annual Award (s) to one or more eligible HABD Section 3 participant (s).
The goal of the Section 3 Education and Training Scholarship Fund is to make continued and higher education a viable reality for low and very-low income persons. HABD anticipates that the educational and training fund will provide opportunities to encourage economic growth and learning for Section 3 residents in our communitites.
Interested HABD residents or participants may apply by submitting a scholarship application to:
